You might want to look at the NT version of Optio as well, if you're
looking for new software. It does all the faxing, emailing, etc., and is
much easier to work with than the original version. I believe it also
allows the option of printing directly from a data file, rather than a
spool file. (We are also on 4.05 and have been using Optio for about the
same length of time ... we are just now in the process of converting all
our forms to NT.)

Hi,

We use Optio; purchased it 7 years ago and replaced almost all our BPCS
preprinted forms. We're currently on 4.05CD (but on 4.03 at the time).
Now
we are looking at faxing, emailing, and/or archiving these forms, i.e.,
putting in .pdf format then burning onto a CD. Started looking at vendor
Quadrant, www.QuadrantSoftware.com, for this type of solution. Quadrant
works w/ Optio and also has it's own forms overlay solution... You may
want
to check w/ SSA/GT to see who they are partnering w/ regarding forms
overlay. Good luck.

Folks --

We are considering a forms package, such as FormsPrint, to take the
standard output and make is laser-friendly and cleaner.

Have any of you implemented such packages and what suggestions do you
have? Are there any that have generic BPCS forms already built?

We are at 4.0.03 with Y2K done custom using windowing.

Many thanks!
