PO prices

suppose you have an active quote for a product at $2.00 each for a qty up to 
999 and $1.50 each for a qty in excess of 1000

suppose you purchase 1000 but make it two separate deliveries of 500 each a 
month apart. we do this by creating 2 separate PO lines of 500 each with 
different due dates.

when we generate the PO it goes to the quotes file and pulls in the $2.00 price 
for each delivery, even though we purchased a total qty of 1000 on the PO the 
vendor will honor the 1000 part price.

are we doing things wrong? is there a way to ensure that the PO gets generated 
with the 1000 piece price?
