yes you can create your own tags. do this with your own tag file outside of 
bpcs. then when you have entered all of your tags write a program that 
summarizes your tags by item, warehouse, and location and create one tag on the 
bpcs IPH file for each unique item warehouse, location. then you can run INV650 
to post the tags to bpcs. also remember that even if you do not count a part at 
a warehouse / location that is active in bpcs, you should create a tag with 
zero qty on IPH to set this location to zero.

We would like use to the BPCS Inventory programme to carry over our stock
from our old system to bpcs which becomes our new system in August. We are
moving from a non-location warehouse to a live location warehouse. We
thought we could use BPCS "Physical Inventory" process to create TAG's for
warehouse personnel to count from but it seems to print them by item then
location. What we would like to see is the tag by location so that count is
completed by location that way no stock can be missed. Anybody got ideas?
Could we create our own tags? Would BPCS accept them?
