no to belittle the point about BOM900 and low level codes, several people have
mentioned the need to keep low level codes correct for MRP. please be aware
that the CST cost build process also uses the same low lever code to build up
costs through the B/M. invalid low level codes will give you improper product
costs.

ps, i'm envious of those people that say that they can run BOM900 in the
evening! it's a 20 plus hour process for us, and like somebody else said we
need to keep all discontinued B/M records on the file for reference purposes!

Any time the Bill of Materials (BoM) is changed the possibility exists for
the low level code ( literally the lowest level on which a specific item
appears on the BoM) to change. We run the BOM900 every night as part of a
robot job to calculate DRP, MPS and MRP requirements.

Hello, all.

We needed to run BOM900 yesterday in order to resequence low level codes
and allow MRP600 to plan properly. The last time we needed to do this was
literally years ago. Anyone know what causes the low level codes to need
this action? Anyone run BOM900 on a regular schedule? If so, why and how
often?

Thanks for any help.
