  • Subject: G/L Exception Report (CEA971)

We are on V 6.0.04 on Unix.

We have some home made queries set up that we run periodically to make sure
the Internal Account number activity in GSB equals the sum of the detail
Journal lines in the GLH.

I just found out from SSA there is a program (CEA971) titled G/L Exception
Report that also does the same.

This program has two processing options: 1. Report Only ( Finds the
IAN with errors )
                                                                     2.
Report and Update (Corrects the errors by updating the GSB table)

Does anyone use Option 2 and does it work? The assumption (per the help
screen) is that the GLH is correct and the GSB table will be updated.

Any thoughts on this program would be appreciated.

Thanks
Steve
