Hi Ruben!  The NT version of Optio will pull data directly from a file.
I'm certainly no Optio expert, but we do use it quite heavily for a lot of
different types of applications and platforms, and it has been a very good
solution for us.  If you're already using Optio, but not the NT version,
that might be something you'd want to investigate before investing in
another package.

No, we know about Optio, however Optio requires a
reported generated in the spool file, and what I am
talking about is a report generator that would go
directly to the file.fields.

We do use Optio right now.
