23  G/L Exception Report (CEA971D): This program has two purposes:

1) Generates a report to show differences between DR and CR.
2) Summarize amounts from posted journals into GSG file and fix the mentioned 
differences.

For the second one purpose you should run it when users are not working on CEA, 
posting journals.

To upadte GSB you should use the follwing parameters:
Process Option: 1     (Report Only=0/Report and Update=1).

I suggest to run it in batch.

Exactly what does SYS01 option 23 (G/L Exception Report) show?  And what are 
the ramifications of running an update if the reports shows anything out of 
balance?  What about if total credits does not equal total debits?
