I am not giving a solution here, just listing some alternatives I am aware of 
that might not be what Eli needs.

Well you know that from SSA there is a module FOR
You know that within MRP on 405CD there is forecasting option

You can also take MRP data to SIMULATION area & muck around with it, then 
send SIMULATION results & replace original MRP data

If you do forecasting outside of BPCS, the challenge then can be how to bring 
the data into BPCS & AS/400, so that it flows into BPCS data base without a 
hassle.

UPI has a package where you can take MRP data from BPCS & send it to PC & do 
stuff there to get nicer reports on your MRP data, but you wanting to go in 
the other direction.
