we are on v6.04 and we have multiple warehouses within the same facility. in
your example both warehouses, MG and RW, should use the facility MG costs. i
have always thought that the key to this was the warehouse master record as
this contains a facility code for each warehouse. thus the warehouse master for
MG should specify that it belongs to facility MG and the warehouse master for
warehouse RW should specify that it also belongs to facility MG. you said that
you looked at this so i assume that it is ok. the only other thing that i can
think of would be the system setting on which cost set to use for inventory
costing. typically this is cost set three (frozen standard costs) but it does
not have to be this. do you actually have costs (item number, facility, and
cost set) for the items that you are making inventory transactions for in each
warehouse. other than the possibility that you just might not have a cost to
associate with the inventory transaction. i'm at a loss!

We cost by facility - The costing routine for inventory transactions is
not connecting to the facility - it uses the warehouse as the facility. For
example:

        Facility MG contains

                Warehouse MG, and
                Warehouse RW.

Transactions for warehouse MG are costed using the cost for Facility
MG, but trasnactions for warehouse RW process with zero cost.

Have checked the Warehouse Master and it is OK.

        Anything else to check?
