this problem popped up when we upgraded to V4R4 when we were running bpcs
v6.04. the standard ssa installation uses tcp/ip port number 5000 to their
ALAUNCH GUI interface program. it looks as if V4R4 now uses port 5000 also, so
we were not able to get the GUI clients to communicate with the AS/400. the
solution is to change the port number on both the GUI client and the ALAUNCH
host software. very easy to do, after you know what the problem is.

I am about to take the plunge and move from 6.04 CS to 6.10.1 and would like
to know if there are any nasties to look out for.

The shop is a small manufacturer/distributor running on an AS/400 R4V4.

We have had a number of issues with 6.04 and are looking for some stability
with 6.10.1 if possible.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Have a good one,

Norm
