i guess it's physically possible, but do you want the resulting bpcs v6.1
system to work? i believe that several files get their format changed as part
of the 6.1 installation process. also i believe that there are some new files
added as part of the 6.1 installation. i have to give ssa some credit. they
have prepared pretty explicit installation and conversion instructions on this
process. my suggestion would be to get copies of both and read them at least
three times!

Hello guys,

I'm on BPCS 6.0.02 Jan 98 Cum, OS400 V4R3M0 current Cum.

This is a BPCS install question. Is it possible to install BPCS 6.1.01 in a new
environment then copy all BPCS files from 6.0.02 with *MAP *DROP into 6.1.01
file library. I thought this will be a cleaner install than converting 6.0.02
to 6.1.01
