Hi, Lisa.....

I've tried your suggestion but the same thing happened. It loops to the same
item. And at the same time CST500 is the one responsible for updating the
field INCCFG into 'Y' value.

We did try clearing MPB file and placing the content to temp file. We did
run CST500 and we have a success in the roll up. Not worrying about the MPB
since we are not using Planning Bill.

Just wondering if there's a way to know exactly what's within MPB to cause
the endless loop of the program. And how to fix MPB thru BPCS?

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Al, thanks also for your response.

Jessie

Am I in the right the direction here???

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Jessie ....

We're on 405 (non CD), so might not be the same, but I did have a loop in
CST600
a couple weeks ago on an item we were playing with co/by products, and had a
bill loaded both for the end item and the by product (which didn't seem
logical
to me, anyway!). That turned out not to be the issue; the loop seemed to be
caused by a flag in the IIM file called Net Change Cost Flag (INCCFG) that
for
some reason had a "Y" in it. Removed the "Y" and it ran fine. (After 7
years
on BPCS, I'd never even noticed that field, and have no idea what it's for,
but
it wasn't set for anything else.)

As Mac responded in another e-mail, CST600 does seem to run forever. We
have a
fairly large environment, with 10 manufacturing facilities and many
multi-level
bills, and our cost roll takes 28 hours!
