I have three clients, two mixed-mode and one full client, that have upgraded
to 6.1 from previous versions of BPCS. All are satisfied, but there _ARE_
some caveats. The one that was on a 4.x version nearly tripled their
processor power before they were happy with the performance of 6.1. The full
client customer required about a month of my time running DBMON, creating
logicals, and modifying batch programs before their performance was adequate.

I've said it before but, if you're upgrading from a 4.x or less system to
6.x, you will _NOT_ be happy with performance if you don't upgrade your
system. SSA tells you this, but many clients do not listen to this advice.
You should also be on OS/400 release V4R3 or later, as many SQL performance
improvements were made at that release level. If you have specific
performance issues, feel free to detail them here...
