Re: Virus on LOC diskette

Hello Xavier,

Can you tell me what SSA office you placed the order with for this LOC
diskette, and what the shipping address (return address) was on the package,
so that I can forward your message to the proper department at SSA? (You can
respond directly to me off-line).

In future or for anyone else who experiences such a thing, you should phone
the SSA Helpline and SSA Office where you placed the order so that we can
take corrective actions. Virus checking is part of the normal cycle in
producing media in our product distribution. At this point it is unclear if
this was shipped from the main SSA Office or from media produced at a local
SSA office. We have checked the master diskette here at SSA Chicago, and it
is clean, according to the manager of the media distribution center. We are
investigating the masters at other SSA branches.

Additionally, could you tell us which virus scan software was used to scan
the diskette?
