<I heard SSA is thinking on stop the assistance to
system below the 6.1 version. Do any of you know
something about it?>

Depends on what you mean my stop supporting. Support seems to get phased out
in steps:

1. Stop making e-bmr's on an slightly dated version.
2. Stop making a-bmr's on an aging version.
3. Stop retrofitting a-bmr's on an aging version.
4. Quality of helpline support tapers as version becomes stale.
5. SSA announces they will no longer support a particular version.
6. SSA denies that version ever existed.
7. The industry refuses to acknowledge that SSA ever existed.

But seriously, I reckon they've already stopped E-BMR's on pre-6.1 versions.
At some point they will stop writing A-BMR's for pre-6.1 versions, maybe
have already. I figure you'll be able to phone in for phone support on any
flavor of 6.x for a long time. I still get help from helpline on 4.05CD
without any objections. Any SSA'ers have a comment?

Geo.
