Funny you should ask about Symix.  I am currently converting an acquired
company from their Symix system to BPCS 405CD.  While I don't have any
experience in the operation of Symix, the one big thing I noticed was the
involved process necessary to produce user-defined reports.  It usually
involved full file printouts directed to a text file which is then converted
to an Excel spreadsheet.

While this is definitely not a full-scale review of either product I
consider the ease with which to extract information a major consideration in
the selection of a product.
