According to www.whatis.com:

ERP (enterprise resource planning) is an industry term for the broad set of
activities supported by multi-module
application software that help a manufacturer or other business manage the
important parts of its business,
including product planning, parts purchasing, maintaining inventories,
interacting with suppliers, providing customer
service, and tracking orders. ERP can also include application modules for
the finance and human resources
aspects of a business. Typically, an ERP system uses or is integrated with a
relational database system. The
deployment of an ERP system can involve considerable business process
analysis, employee retraining, and new
work procedures.

BPCS by SSA meets these requirements as do the 4 you mentioned and hundreds
of others. For a good listing of the top 100 manufacturing software vendors
see http://www.manufacturingsystems.com (to directly to the list go to:
http://209.35.212.98/software_finder/top100.asp?start=1). SSA is listed as
#6. The list includes ERP, Supply Chain, Job Shop, MES, and a few other
flavors of manufacturing software. I would avoid getting caught up in what
specific acronym the vendor claims as they all have strengths and weaknesses
within the spectrum of their niche.
