As long as the accounting department doesn't need the history, I see no 
reason you shouldn't purge your historical G/L Data.

There is no built in BPCS program to do this but it is very easy (and 
potentially dangerous) to do in SQL.  Just make sure you back up GHH, GLH, 
GLA, GSB, and GLN files before even thinking about purging anything.

If you need help with SQL, please let me know off-line.

Does anybody know of or have program to purge GL records?  What are the
ramifications of purging previous years records?
