A item going negative will also trigger its inclusion in the next cycle
count. (Regardless of last count date)

Hi all,

Can someone please explain the process whereby BPCS decides what needs to
be
cycle counted ? I have been looking at the on-line documentation but it
seems
to contradict itself.
From a combination of 'cycle count frequency' and 'last cycle count
date' BPCS calculates if something is due for counting. Is this the 'last
cycle count date' field in ILI or IIM because in my installation they
differ
in some cases ?
Also the 'last cycle count date' field seems to be updated when the
worksheets are printed rather than at 'cycle count post'. Is this correct ?
I know a solution posted in the past was to set the 'cycle count
frequency' to 365 for all parts and that way the user could decide what
should be cycle counted but I'm afraid the materials manager ruled this
idea
out.

TIA,
Gordon.
