Hello,

What will happen is that all your BPCS jobs will hang on the PC or get error messages saying "Connection Reset by Peer" or the like. Files could be left in bad states, half updated/half not and it would be a big mess to untangle. I would not do this while users are in BPCS or otherwise attached to the AS/400 via TCP/IP doing valid work on the system.

Thanks

Subject: AS/400 IP COMMUNICATION WAIT TIME

Hi Guys,

I need to know.  Is it possible to disconnect the RJ45 that connects all CLIENTS (PCs) to the AS/400 box, communicating over IP, and reconnect back without any CLIENT knowing that communication was interrupted.  What happen to all active interactive jobs (programs) from the PCs and Session Manager?

Thanks for you help.
