Another approach for auditors making sense of what users can get access to ..

We have menus tailored to particular users ... JUDY's menu, KURT's menu ...
and combinations ... ENGINEERING menu shared by everyone in a particular
department, or PRODUCTION & INVENTORY staff at a particular facility.

A conference could be held involving a USER, whoever that user reports to,
and an IT auditor ... here is "your menu" ... what duties do you have in
accessing BPCS that require you to do stuff that is NOT on your menu? One
might also ask to what extent the user almost exclusively uses the add-on
menus as opposed to the vanilla menus.

In theory there should be communication with IT to let us know what additions
need to be made on menus & rearrange stuff to help serve the users, but in
reality different end users tend to forget that this is an option, as there
are additions to their responsibilities, or mentioning that some option is no
longer needed & does not need to clutter their menu.

After such reviews with random users, the auditors could then make
reccommendations to IT, and compare this story of the User's responsibilities
with whatever is on the official corporate records regarding the departmental
duties.
