Thought you may be interested in this recent advice received ffrom SSA:

***
A new version of the OPS Runtime Service pack, which contains fixes for the
ongoing bmr 43360 (PC Lockup Issue) has been completed. The file is
OPS_Runtime_Service_Pack_6.0.0.44_6.exe, and there are also the usual .RPT
and .TXT files. The file can be located at:-

/ftp/unix/fixes/pc/opssp6461 for unix clients

and

/ftp/as400/as400/opssp6461 for AS400 clients

There are some other factors that have recently been identified by R&D in
reducing PC Lockups.
1) Ensure that you have the very latest network drivers installed for your
particular network card.
2) Disabling the History Panel. Add the following line to the odo.cfg
(\bpcscs\bpcsoo\system)
     [CodeOveride]"2"

Further info and a PC Lockup questionnaire for ongoing problems can be
obtained from SSA support.
