Wayne,

A voice from the past. I hear you are at PowerFood now. I carry a few
PowerBars in my pack at all times and they are the secret of my superhuman
strength.

Regarding automated jobs on UNIX, you can create scripts using VI (or text
editor of your choice) that execute commands just like batch files in DOS.
The hard part is knowing the syntax to set the environment, call the
program, and pass the correct parameters. You can get this stuff by setting
your batch queue on hold, submitting the job you want to automate, then
going out to the directory where job state information is stored
(/temp/batchd/<symbolic name of environment>)and finding the files relevant
to your job. You can reverse engineer the logic in those files and build it
into your own scripts.

Andrew Coulson once showed me how to do this. Things may have changed since
v6.0.02. If you somehow reach him, tell him I said hi.

Take care.

Geo.
