We are on V6.04 and running ECM which is unbelievably slow- it takes
approx. 7 hours to process 700 orders. Not only does ECM take incredibly
long to process orders, but it degrades the performance of the AS/400 for
all other users and chews up CPU. Apart from this ECM is fairly robust (I
should hope so when processing is so slow). SSA really need to address
this problem.

Good luck and if you have more success than we did, please inform me.

There is a way to use SMGs with this release of BPCS - contact the BEC
(BPCS
Extensibility Center) about this - you can load Full Client/Server objects
and run this against the same BPCSF database. Then get the SMGs for 6.0.02
Full C/S and it will work, if you are still interested in the SMGs. 6.0.04
has better SMGs (more features) - so if you can upgrade that is even better
-
they also packaged a special set of libraries for Mixed Mode 6.004 that
work
with SMGs (they took whatever special objects from full C/S were required
and
packaged up those few objects so you don't have to order and load the full
release).
