  • Subject: Multiple BPCS Environments?

Has anyone got any ideas/experience on the issue of multiple vs single
environments?

We are currently looking into the possibilities of breaking our current
single BPCS environment (v6.0.02) into four business division aligned
environments with perhaps a data warehouse solution to provide
consolidated reporting/financials etc.

My first thoughts about this was that it would be a very expensive
project to actually implement and the resulting environments would be
extremely difficult to manage in terms of security, modifications,
upgrades etc.

Our business sees the benefits of a multi-environment structure to be
that each division could have different processes and could set up BPCS
with different system parameters etc. (one could use standard cost and
one actual cost for example).

I would like to know if anyone else has gone through this process (and
perhaps regretted it afterwards!)
