Tom,

Incidentally, I first found out about the Year 2000 Information Center,
through Datamation Magazine, when they were still publishing dead tree
editions. - I hope that in addressing a perceived hunger for where to find
useful information that Tom seemed to have & I know I have, I am not saying
stuff here that most everyone already knows & being a burden to the group.

Here is cut & paste from this week's Datamation e-newsletter showing how you
can subscribe - I have not found the time yet to go explore what their site
has to offer

Al Macintyre currently subscribes to several electronic newsletters on a
variety of focuses - most of them are announcements like new products for IBM
AS/400, I think NetGuide does the best job, of all that I get, when it comes
to highlighting interesting web sites, while the Economist is the best for
headlines around the world in politics & business. Depending on your
interests, there is a lot of good stuff out there. My interests include
Science Fiction, Simulation Games & Global News Junkie & Family & I am
paranoid on Y2K & of course becoming better at what I do at work.

>From perspective of old fashioned non-technical dead tree magazine for users
of manufacturing software, irrespective of BPCS, saying what we reasonably
should expect to be able to get done at reasonable pricing & without
superhuman implementation effort, my current best pick is ERP magazine - the
current issue was just dynamite, like the article with illustrations on using
a $250.00 color printer to combine detail information with highlighting where
our scrap is highest percentage, or labor costs unreasonable, at the same time
as providing the whole story.
