Yes that's the one. Besides preparing documents for e-mailing, you can also
use it to restart printing in a remote output queue (e.g. TCP/IP printer).
This allows you to print or reprint "pieces-parts" of spool files and not waste
forms or paper by printing entire spool file. The cost is very reasonable...
approximately $30 - 40.

I used the test version, and am recommending this to our customers.

Doug,

I'm not sure if this is the utility that you mean, but here is the text of
a message from Midrange L where Brad Stone describes one of his spool
tools...

<snip>
"I have one that will transfer a spooled file into a text file (or a
document, or whatever extension you want) and then from there what you
do with it is up to you.

Yes. There is a program called SPLTOOL that will "reprint" a spool file to
a PC folder or file, and then allow you to download to PC. It also solves
the AS/400 network print problem of restarting at a certain page. I do not
have the web site in front of me, but it can be found in the News/400
magazine concerning printing with TCP/IP and NT. Something like
prairie.lakes (something like that)

I have a BPCS 4.05 client that has a desire to take spoolfiles, such
as invoices, download them to a PC, and E-Mail them to their
customers. This would be in addition to printing them on the AS400,
so that they will also have a printed copy. Has anyone done this?
