Yes, it is possible. My memory is a little fuzzy (I have not worked with
this in about a year) but I can give you the general idea.

1. Go into BPCS and put your batch job queue on hold.

2. Then run the job you want to schedule in batch mode using the parameters
you will be using.

3. Go to a command line in UNIX and cd /tmp/batchd.

4. In /tmp/batchd there will be files associated with the job you just ran
in batch. The file names will not make much sense, you might want to look
for the newest files. (they might be in a subdirectory to /tmp/batchd, I
can't remember.)

5. I beleive there are two files. One is a script that basically sets up a
BPCS environment to run a job in and submits the job with the parameters you
used (maybe some others that are required). You can use this script as a
guide to creating a script that can be run in cron (you may even be able to
use it as is). I think the other file is used by the process for scheduling
rules, priorities, etc. It shouldn't be needed.

This method worked about a year ago. I do not know if the changes made with
the new ODW tool effects this, it might.

Hope this helped,
