I am trying to call various BPCS batch programs from within a CL so the job can be sumitted at night.  Since most of the batch programs now have 2 parm fields of 256 characters with packed data in the middle of the string, I am having trouble setting up these fields.

Has anyone come up with a creative way of getting an 8,0 date into 5 bytes in the middle of the parm string within a CL program?
