I don't know about that.  In the old days when I sold applications, the small
accounts that refused to upgrade were usually the hardest to deal with, last
to pay, questioned every nano-second of billable time, and expected you to
support _their_ release ad infinitum regardless of what hack they had come in
from outside and mess with the base code because they were too cheap to pay
market rates.  While this was not true of all of them, it was true of most,
and they drained our resources and profits like a six inch pipe.  Some
customers, you just don't want...
