Chuck,

In a message dated 98-08-12 21:02:17 EDT, you write:

<<snip>>

I have a good feeling about the NexGen folks. For one thing, many of the
people that I knew when contracting to SSA now work for them. For another,
many of their employees and owners are members of this list and they (with one
exception) have been _VERY_ careful not to violate list guidelines for vendor
participation. I also met and spoke with several of them at the NOLA COMMON.
The only gripe that I'd have with NexGen is that their products are priced out
of reach for most people on older (pre-4) versions of BPCS. Then again, from
a business perspective, do you really _WANT_ to entertain new business from
people that were too cheap to upgrade?

I've received nothing but rave reviews on everything but price from everyone
that has chosen NexGen's Y2K product. Then again, you could do like we did
and spend nearly a year of eight developers', two "high dollar" <VBG>
consultants', and eight business analysts' time to upgrade from 5.1.01 to
6.0.02. Maybe that price isn't so high after all...

Regards!
