  • Subject: HELP! Cost in BPCS

Hi people,

I'd appreciate a help with a problem I have - I need a Cost Accounting
product just like CST but which use FIFO method, instead of average cost
or last cost. My client insists that he has to use FIFO cost exactly as
the theory says, which is:

I had zero quantity of A
  I buy product A - 100 pieces at $100 (on April 15th)
  Then I buy again - 100 pieces at $102 (on April 18th)
  And again - 50 pieces at $101

When I use it, I have then to do it with FIFO:

I have to use 105 pieces - 100 at the cost of $100 + 5 at the cost of
$102. Next time I use it will rest 98 pieces at the cost of $102. Only
then I can use the next 50 at the cost of 101$. The concept is fine, but
CST doesn't do FIFO. The rest of the product is fine to them, but this
problem can't be solved by CST, unless I change the core of the product.
Does anyone can give me a hope, I mean, tell me where I can find this
marvellous product which would do that?

Thanks a LOT.

Luis Festas
